The Norwegian Church in London is hosting its annual Christmas Fair this month, 24th – 26th November.
Historically, the fair started just after WWII, encouraged and driven by a group of young ladies, determined to help raise money for the church. It has been a tradition ever since, still heavily influenced by the “Women’s Club”.
This year, we are expecting numbers to reach 10.000 visitors and now with the new “St. Olav’s Square” finished in front of the church, you’ll be able to enjoy all the Norwegian food, mulled wine and groceries in a special Nordic themed marquee! There will be plenty of waffles, “svele” (a special fluffy pancake), heart-warming fish soup and vegetable stew, hot dogs, open top sandwiches and much more. Inside the church you’ll be able to purchase your Nordic Christmas gifts, knitwear, jewellery, and goodies such as chocolate and sweet "brown cheese".
Opening times are: Fri: 12-19, Sat: 10-18 & Sun: 10-17
Entry to the square stalls and rest of the Scandimarket is free, admission to the inside church stalls: £1
Merry Christmas, we hope to see you at the fair!
