Norwegian photographer Sveinung Arthur Konradsen and Haitian/Norwegian Prosjekt Haiti foundation bring to New York the exhibition “TIMOUN”, a heart-warming testimonial to the challenges of being a child in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

The exhibit is about the innocence of children and how quickly it is lost in a society where every day is a struggle for survival. It is about the beauty and hope in a smile. It is about the courage they need to stay alive.

Sveinung Arthur Konradsen is a self-taught photographer with a passion for Haiti, and he has visited the country numerous times. Together with Norwegian Bishop Ingeborg Midttømme, he will introduce the photos on opening night. Ingvill and Edwin Ceide, co-founders of Prosjekt Haiti, will give an overview of the foundation’s work and the situation in Haiti today.

Music perfomance by Cynthia Casasola

The exhibition is open from 23rd March until 8th May 2017
